Scroll to Top Button

Just click the button to scroll current page back to top.

There are several extensions that do the same in the chrome store, but I wanted something simple and lightweight — just a toolbar button that does the job, without fancy animations and complicated options. So I made this.

Please, remember that this extension doesn’t work on each and every page. It works in most sites (tested with twitter, facebook, deviantart and many others) but it will not scroll up browser’s internal pages (settings, history etc.) and some complicated web pages. If it doesn’t work for you, please, don’t hate me too much. You can at any time remove the extension from your browser (go to the “Extensions” page and simply uninstall it)…

For Chrome, Edge and Opera

Scroll to Top Options

Starting with version 2.0, you can now change the toolbar icon. We added this functionality because several users of this and other extensions were asking for it. It is particularly useful if you use some specific Chrome theme, and the icon doesn’t fit well with the background. Here is how to change the icon:

1) Right-click on the extension’s icon and select “Options”:

2) And select predefined icon or click the “Choose File” button:

If you select one of the predefined icons or load proper image, you should see the toolbar icon changed immediately. If you are trying with your own icon and it doesn’t work: just choose another image or select one of the predefined icons.

Note that your custom image should be 19×19 pixels (bigger pictures will not work well — only the top/left 19 pixels will be used).

Most popular formats are supported (we tested PNG, JPEG and BMP) but feel free to try others (although PSD will definitely not work;-)
